Going Shorter

Ajatus tukan pätkäisemisestä on kummitellut mielen perukoilla jo pitkään, ja nyt sitten viime perjantaina mä vihdoin istuin kampaajan tuoliin ja annoin ottaa ihan reippaasti pituudesta pois. Annoin ohjeeksi, että saa lyhentää ihan kunnolla, mutta haluan kuitenkin edelleen pysyä selkeästi pitkätukkaisena. Vaikka ajatus long bobista on houkuttanut koko kesän, en usko että mun pörröinen ja taipuisa hiuslaatu suostuisi yhteistyöhön sellaisen lookin kanssa. Noin kymmensenttisiä suortuvia putoili lattialle kampaajan heiluttaessa saksiaan, ja mä en kyllä muista milloin viimeksi oisin ollut näin tyytyväinen hiuksiini. Superpitkä tukka alkoi jo olemaan lähinnä riesa, sillä se tuntui olevan aina tiellä, oli se sitten kiinni, auki tai jotain siltä väliltä. Ja vaikkei mun hiuksia edelleenkään voi lyhyiksi sanoa, niin kyllähän ero vaikkapa viime postauksen kuviin on aika huomattava. Ja onhan se niinkin, että nyt hiukset näyttää ja tuntuu taas niin paljon paremmilta ja terveemmiltä, kun latvat ei hapsota hamppuisina. 

The thought about cutting my hair has been on my mind for a long time already, and last Friday it was finally time for me to sit to the hairdresser's chair and let her cut quite a good amount of the length of my hair. I told her that she can shorten my mane quite a bit, but that I still want to stay as a long-haired girl. Although the thought about long bob has tempted me whole summer long I don't think I'd be able to pull of that look with my frizzy and wavy hair texture. The wisps of hair falling to the floor were approximately 10 centimeters long, and I seriously can't remember the last time I was this happy with my hair. The super long 'do started to get just annoying, as it was always in the way no matter how I wore it. And even though my hair still isn't short, the difference between these pictures and for example the ones in my last post is quite significant. Plus now my hair looks and feels so much better and healthier again when the ends don't look like a bunch of hemp.
