7 Make Up Bag Staples

Pari viikkoa sitten ihana Jenni jakoi blogissaan muutamia luottomeikkejään, ja koska bongasin sieltä yhden tuotteen joka myös omassa käytössäni ansaitsee luottotuotteen tittelin, inspiroi postaus mut jakamaan myös omat meikkipussin luottotuotteet. Nää on ne tuotteet, joihin tartun aina uudelleen ja uudelleen meikkiä naamalle sutiessani.

A couple of weeks ago the lovely Jenni shared some of her make up staples on her blog, and spotting one of my make up staples on there as well inspired me to share the products that deserve the staple title in my own make up bag. These are the products I find myself gravitating towards over and over again. 

Estée Lauderin Double Wear -meikkivoide on ihan ehdottomasti yksi parhaimmista meikkivoiteista mitä oon koskaan käyttänyt! Tää ei tosin paksuutensa ja peittävyytensä ansiosta ole ihan jokapäiväisessä käytössä, mutta esimerkiksi juhlissa tai muissa tärkeissä tilaisuuksissa Double Wear päätyy ihan varmasti mun iholle. Viime aikoina olen tosin innostunut myös sekoittamaan tätä kevyempien meikkivoiteiden kanssa, jolloin lopputuloksesta tulee arkikäyttöön juuri sopivan peittävä mutta silti luonnollinen.

Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation is hands down one of the best foundations I've ever used! Because the foundation is quite heavy and very high coverage it isn't something I use every single day, but you can be sure that whenever there's an important occasion I'm wearing Double Wear on my face. Although lately I've been enjoying mixing it with lighter foundations too, to create a good everyday base that has a good amount of coverage but still looks natural.

Silmämeikissä puolestaan oon luottanut Urban Decayn Naked Basics -palettiin jo vaikka kuinka pitkään. Tässä pienessä luomiväripaletissa on ihan täydelliset mattasävyt jokapäiväiseen käyttöön, mutta tällä saa helposti luotua myös näyttävämpiä juhlalookeja. Tää pieni paletti onkin syrjäyttänyt isomman Naked 2 -palettini melkein kokonaan. Toinen silmämeikin luottotuote on Lumenen True Mystic Volume -ripsari, johon ihastuin heti ensimmäisellä käyttökerralla. Ehdottomasti kaikkien saamiensa kehujen ja huomion arvoinen ripsari, jolla saa räpsyihin pituutta ja volyymiä. Rimmelin Scandaleyes nude kajaali puolestaan on uusin tulokas mun vakiosilmämeikissä, mutta sekin päätyi kyllä samantien lemppareiden ja luottotuotteiden listalle. Yleensä kaikki kajaalit suttaantuu mun silmissä todella nopeasti, mutta tää se vaan on ja pysyy vaikka pidemmänkin päivän, ja saa katseen näyttämään paljon todellista kirkkaammalta ja pirteämmältä.

Urban Decay Naked Basics has been a staple in my eye make up for a long time now. The little palette has just the perfect matte shades for day-to-day use, but you can easily create more dramatic looks with the palette too. This little eyeshadow palette has almost completely replaced the Naked 2 palette in my make up routine. Another eye make up staple is the Lumene True Mystic Volume mascara, that I fell in love with on the first use. It adds length and volume to the lashes, and definitely deserves all the praise and amazing reviews it's gotten. Rimmel Scandaleyes nude kohl pencil is the most recent addition in my everyday eye make up, but it went straight to the list of staples and favourites. Usually all kohls tend to smudge on me really quickly whereas this one just stays on even on a longer day, and it makes my eyes look brighter and more awake than what the reality might be. 



Anastasia Beverly Hillsin Contour Kit on nimenomaan se tuote, jonka Jennikin oli listannut yhdeksi omista luottotuotteistaan. Kuten parhaimmat päivänsä nähneestä pakkauksestakin voi huomata, tää varjostuspaletti on tosiaan saanut paljon rakkautta osakseen. Vaikken mitään super-contouria harrastakaan, tykkään tuoda tän avulla edes vähän varjoja ja valoja kasvoille, ja paletin Banana-sävyä käytän aina auttamaan tummien silmänalusten peitossa. TheBalmin Mary Lou Manizer -korostuspuuteri on sekin ollut kovassa käytössä jo pitkään, yleensä ihan siinä omassa highligher-tarkoituksessaan, mutta aina välillä hylkään Naked Basicsin ja käytän tätä helmiäisenä luomivärinä silmämeikissä.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit is the product behind this whole post, as it's exactly the one Jenni listed as one of her make up staples too. As you can probably tell by the packaging that has definitely seen its golden days already, this palette has gotten a lot of love and use. Although I'm not one to do an extremely contoured look, I do love to use this to create some shadows and lights to my face, and the Banana shade is something I always use to help hide the dark circles under my eyes. TheBalm Mary Lou Manizer highlighter is also one I've been using on almost everyday basis for a long time already. Most days I use it in its original highlighter purpose, but every once in a while I might abandon the Naked Basics and use Mary Lou-Manizer as a pearly eyeshadow. 



Viimeisenä vielä mun ehdoton hajuvesilemppari: Yves Saint Laurentin Black Opium. Kesällä tuli käytettyä paljon kevyempiä kukkaistuoksuja, mutta nyt syksyn tultua syvempi ja voimakkaampi Black Opium on ollut mun päivittäinen go to hajuvesi. Tuun varmasti tuoksumaan tältä taas koko pimeän kauden ajan, sillä tähän en vaan kyllästy.

And lastly my absolute favourite perfume: Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium. In summer I reached for much lighter floral scents, but now that autumn is here this deeper and stronger scent has been my daily go to again. I'm sure I will be smelling like this throughout the dark period of the year again as this is simply a perfume I don't get tired of.
