Best of 2017: Beauty

Vuosi 2017 lähenee loppuaan kovaa vauhtia, ja joulukuutakin on jo viikko takana. Ihmettelen vain, että missä vaiheessa näin muka pääsi käymään?! Vuoden päättyminen tarkoittaa kuitenkin myös sitä, että on aika koota yhteen kuluneen vuoden suosikkeja. Aiemmin mainitsinkin jo, että kuluneen vuoden muotisuosikkeja on tulossa blogiin vielä myöhemmin, mutta ihan ensimmäiseksi otetaan tarkasteluun vuoden 2017 kauneuslempparit!

The end of the year 2017 is quickly approaching, and we're already a week in of this December too. When did that happen, I'm just wondering?! The last weeks of the year also mean that it's time to take a look back and see what have been the 2017 favourites. I already mentioned that my fashion favourites will be up later this month, but first let's take a look at the 2017 beauty favourites! 

Emporio Armani - Because it's You

Emporio Armanin Because it's You -hajuvesi on ollut melkeinpä päivittäisessä käytössä nyt parin viime kuukauden ajan, ja tuoksu ansaitsee kyllä ehdottomasti paikkansa myös mun koko vuoden suosikkien joukossa. Tää on siis melkeinpä mennyt mun ikirakkauden YSL:n Black Opiumin ohitse. Tuoksu on naisellinen, lämmin ja melko voimakas - juuri sellainen mistä tykkäänkin siis.

Because it's You perfume by Emporio Armani has been in a pretty much daily use for the past couple of months, and the fragrance definitely deserves its spot on my list of 2017 beauty favourites. That means this has almost overtaken my ultimate favourite YSL Black Opium perfume too. The scent is feminine, warm and quite strong - so exactly the kind of perfume I love. 

Rimmel - Scandaleyes Kohl 'Nude' 

Tämän vuoden aikana tekemäni lisäys jokapäiväiseen silmämeikkiin on ollut nuden kajaalin lisääminen alaluomelle, mikä kirkastaa katseen hetkessä ja saa kasvot näyttämään huomattavasti pirteämmiltä. Jos ihan rehellisiä ollaan niin mulla ei ollut suuria odotuksia tämän Rimmelin muutaman punnan kajaalin suhteen, mutta tää onkin osoittautunut parhaimmaksi koskaan käyttämäkseni kajaaliksi. Ei suttaannu, ei valu, ei kulu, vaan pysyy ripsirajassa pitkänkin päivän läpi.

The one change I made to my daily eye make up this year was adding nude kohl to the waterline on my lower lid, which instantly brightens up the eyes and the whole face. To be perfectly honest, I didn't have a lot of expectations regarding this Rimmel kohl that only costs a few pounds, but in use this has turned out to be the best kohl I've ever tried. Doesn't budge, move or disappear, but stays on even through a long day. 

Lumene Finland - True Mystic Volume

Koko vuoden ehdottomasti paras ripsiväriostos on ollut Lumenen True Mystic Volume! Tästä luin viime talvena niin paljon kehuja ja ylistäviä arvioita, että alkuvuodesta se oli vihdoin pakko ostaa omaankin meikkipussiin. Ja kuten todettua, ehdottomasti vuoden parhain ja käytetyin ripsiväri! Tässä ripsarissa on pituus, volyymi ja kaarevuus kaikki samassa paketissa ja vieläpä intensiivinen musta värikin, eli siis käytännössä kaikki mitä ripsiväriltäni haluankin.

The best mascara purchase of the year has without a doubt been True Mystic Volume from Lumene! I read so many good reviews and feedback on this last winter, and at the start of the year I finally had to buy it to my make up bag too. And like I said, definitely the best and most used mascara of the year! True Mystic Volume adds length, volume and curl all at once and the colour is an intense black, so basically this has everything I want from my mascara.

Botanics - All Bright with Hibiscus Purifying Face Scrub

Tästä kuorinta-aineesta kirjoittelinkin jo aiemmin täällä, mutta lyhyesti sanottuna tää on ehdottomasti paras koskaan käyttämäni kuorinta-aine. All Bright -kuorintavoide puhdistaa ja kirkastaa kasvot tehokkaasti, mutta on silti hellävarainen iholle.

I already wrote about this face scrub in here, but briefly saying this is hands down the best face scrub I've ever used. All Bright face scrub cleanses and brightens your skin, but it's still gentle and doesn't irritate or scratch the skin. 

Bourjois Paris - Healthy Mix

Bourjois Parisin Healthy Mix -meikkivoide on kerännyt paljon kehuja, ja nyt vihdoin sitä itsekin testattuani voin kyllä seisoa kaikkien kehujen takana. Healthy Mix tuntuu kevyeltä kasvoilla ja levittyy helposti, mutta peittävyys on silti medium-luokkaa ja meikkivoide myös tuntuu pysyvän iholla koko päivän ajan. Lopputulos on juuri sopivan luonnollinen, ei yhtään liian matta, mutta ei kimaltelevan kuulaskaan. Meikkivoiteessa on melko voimakas tuoksu, joka omaan nenääni tuoksuu kyllä miellyttävältä, mutta herkkäihoisimpien kannattaa ehkä olla varuillaan.

Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix foundation has gotten a lot of good reviews on the blogosphere, and now that I've tried it myself too I'm able to say that I can definitely stand behind the good reviews too. Healthy Mix feels light on the skin and is easy to apply and blend, but the coverage is medium and the foundation seems to last on the skin for the whole day. The finish is just perfectly natural, not too matte nor glowingly dewy. Healthy Mix does have quite a strong scent to it that I personally actually really like, but someone with really sensitive skin might need to be careful.
