Mä oon ripsivärityttöjä henkeen ja vereen. Jos saisin valita loppuelämäkseni käyttööni vain yhden meikkituotteen, olisi se hetkeäkään miettimättä ripsiväri. Vaikkei mulla koskaan ookaan ollut esimerkiksi ripsienpidennyksiä, on ripset ja silmät ylipäätään mulle meikissä se juttu. Mulla on ihan omasta takaa melko pitkät ripset, ja usein saankin kuulla ihmettelyjä siitä että "onko noi tosiaan sun omat luonnolliset ripset?!" Jep on ne, ja ainoa apu mitä oon ripsiini koskaan käyttänyt oli lukioaikojen muutaman viikon kokeilu ripsiseerumin kanssa mutta senkin vaikutukset on hälvenneet jo kauan kauan sitten.
Koska mulla tosiaan on luonnostaan ihan mukavan pituiset räpsyttimet, ripsiväriltäni vaadin pikemminkin tuuheutta ja volyymia kuin extrapituutta. Oonkin löytänyt kaksi edullista ripsivärisuosikkia joiden välillä vaihtelen, joten tässäpä siis ripsivärivinkkiä muillekin tuuheutta ja volyymia ripsariltaan haluaville!
I'm a mascara kind of girl through and through. If I only had to pick one make up product to use the rest of my life, it would hands down be mascara. Although I've never had lash extensions or anything, are lashes and eyes in general 'my thing' when it comes to make up looks. I'm fortunate to have naturally quite long lashes, and I often hear people commenting and wondering whether they actually are my own, real lashes. Yup, completely natural, and the only 'aid' I've ever given them was a lash serum sometime in my teens but the effect of that have faded a long ago already.
Because I've been blessed with lashes that are of a good length on their own, when it comes to choosing a mascara I want something that gives me volume and fullness rather than additional length. Luckily, I've found two favourites that I tend to switch between, so here comes a couple of mascara tips to all of you seeking additional volume to your lashes!
Ensimmäisenä Lumenen True Mystic Volume, joka on kyllä jo melkeinpä saavuttanut paikkansa mun ikilempparina. Tämä on käytössä ehdottomasti eniten, ja lähtee myös aina reissuun mukaan. Varmaankin 90% niistä kerroista kun olen saanut kehuja ripsistäni, on niissä ollut sudittuna nimenomaan True Mystic Volumea, ja tällä saan räpsyihini juurikin sitä kaipaamaani tuuheutta ja volyymia. Tähän ripsiväriin voin aina luottaa ja niinpä siihen tuleekin palattua aina kerta toisensa jälkeen. Jälleenmyyjästä riippuen True Mystic Volumen hinta vaihtelee noin 17 ja 20 euron välillä, mutta löytyy itse asiassa tällä hetkellä alennuksesta täältä!
First up is Lumene True Mystic Volume that has quite rightfully achieved its spot as my all-time favourite mascara. This is the one I use definitely the most, and also the one that I always take with me when travelling etc. I'd say that about 90% of the time when someone has complimented me on my lashes I've been wearing True Mystic Volume, as this gives me exactly the additional volume and fullness I want. This is the mascara I can always count on, and therefore also the one I go back to again and again. At the moment I think Lumene is only available on the UK market with their skincare products (which are amazing too by the way!), but let's hope they'll soon roll out the make up products too. However, if you come across Lumene make up e.g. on your travels in the Nordic countries then make sure to pick up at least this mascara!
Toisena puolestaan hieman uudempi tuttavuus, vaikka on tämäkin ollut käytössä jo pitkään, nimittäin Bourjois Push Up Volume Glamour -ripsiväri. Tämä superedullinen ripsari pääsi kyllä yllättämään positiiviesti, ja tälläkin saa loihdittua ripsiin vaikka kuinka paljon lisää volyymia. Varsinkin jos tätä jaksaa kerrostaa pari tai jopa kolmekin kerrosta, on lopputulos ihan mielettömän tuuheat, näyttävät ja kauniit ripset! Hintaa Push Up Volume Glamourilla on noin 10€, ja tietääkseni sitä ei ole ainakaan vielä Suomen markkinoilla mutta löytyy netistä Suomeen toimitettuna muun muassa täältä.
Another one is a more recent find, although I have been using this for a good while already too: the Bourjois Push Up Volume Glamour mascara. This really affordable mascara definitely took me by surprise in a positive way, and you can really add a lot of extra volume to your lashes with this one. Especially if you layer two or even three coats, the result is a super full, voluminous and beautiful set of lashes!
