Pitkästä aikaa taas kauneusjuttujen vuoro! Aina näin talven jälkeen havahdun itse siihen, kuinka kalpealta se naama näyttääkään kaiken pimeyden ja harmauden jälkeen. Onneksi kasvoille saa loihdittua lisää väriä ja hehkua näin maaliskuussa ihan ilman lentolippujen hankintaakin, vaikka loma jossain lämmössä palmujen alla olisi kyllä mulle se kaikkein mieluisin tapa saada kasvot hehkumaan. Mutta koska reissuja ei nyt ole suunnitteilla niin olen viime aikoina turvautunut näihin kolmeen tuotteeseen, jotka saavat hipiän näyttämään hieman kuulaammaalta.
Long time no beauty posts, but here I am with one today! It's always after the cold and dark winter when I wake up to the reality of my complexion resembling a ghost, but luckily there are some great products out there to bring some colour and glow to my skin even without booking those plane tickets. Although let's admit, a holiday somewhere warm under the palm trees would most definitely be my preferred method of getting a glowy skin. But as I don't have any holidays planned just now, lately I've been relying on a few products to make my complexion appear a bit more glowy.
Swiss Clinic Hydrating Self Tan Pads

Swiss Clinicin ruskettavat laput on ehkä helpoin ja turvallisin kasvoille tarkoitettu itseruskettava tuote, josta olen koskaan kuullut. Lapuilla kirjaimellisesti vain pyyhitään kasvot ennen nukkumaanmenoa, ja aamulla peilistä katsoo takaisin hieman päivettyneemmät ja terveemmin hehkuvat kasvot. Laput eivät myöskään tahraa, tahmaa tai muutenkaan vahingoita esimerkiksi tyynyliinaa, eli siis todella helppoa ja siistiä rusketusta! Mulla ei ole juurikaan kokemusta "perinteisimmistä" itseruskettavista kasvoille, mutta näiden jälkeen en muita kyllä halua välttämättä kokeillakaan. Vaikka tosiaan sain laput Instagram-yhteistyön tiimoilta viime kesänä, niin nämä menee kyllä omalle ostoslistalle kunhan tämän purkin laput on käytetty.

You simply just take a pad, sweep your face with it before going to bed at night, and in the morning you've got a sun kissed face with a healthy glow looking at you in the mirror. The pads don't streak, smudge or in any way harm your pillowcase for instance, so easy and neat tan for sure! I don't have a lot of experience of the more 'traditional' facial tanning products, but after having been using these I don't even feel the need or will to try any other ones. Although I did receive the self tan pads for an Instagram collaboration last summer, these will definitely go to my beauty shopping list once I've used up this jar.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder
The Body Shopin aurinkopuuteria käytän poskipäillä ja ohimoilla tuomaan kasvot vähän enemmän eloon ja naamioimaan talven jälkeisen väsyneen ja kalpean lookin. Vierastan glitteriä sisältäviä aurinkopuutereita, minkä takia tykkäänkin kovasti Honey Bronzen matasta lopputuloksesta sillä sitä voi käyttää myös kasvojen varjostuksiin. Aurinkopuuteri levittyy helposti ja näyttää luonnolliselta, ja The Body Shopin tuotteena se on myös cruelty-free ja eettisyys on otettu tuotannossa huomioon mikä on aina iso plussa!
I use The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder on my cheekbones and temples to bring my face more alive and to camouflage the tired and pale post-winter look. I tend to shy away from bronzers that have shimmer or glitter in them, which is why I really like the matte finish of Honey Bronze, and that also allows you to use it for contouring. The bronzer applies easily and looks natural, and as a The Body Shop product is also cruelty-free and it's been manufactured in an ethical way which is always a big plus!

Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick 'Moon Beach'
Viimeisen silauksen hehkuvaan meikiin ja päivettyneemmän näköiselle hipiälle tuo Charlotte Tilburyn Beach Stick, joka on kuin poskipuna ja highlighter yhdessä. Persikkainen sävy näyttää todella kauniilta ja saa kasvot näyttämään nimenomaan terveen hehkuvilta. Tuote sisältää myös juuri sopivasti glitteriä niin, ettei kasvot muistuta diskopalloa vaan poskipäille saa luotua sen kauniin hehkun, joka korostuu valon osuessa oikeaan kohtaan.

The peachy tone looks really beautiful on the skin and adds a healthy glow to the face. The product also has just enough glitter particles in it so that your face doesn't end up looking like a disco ball, but rather you can create a nice glow and sheen to the cheekbones that pops up beautifully when the light hits at the right angle.
