Siinä se sitten oli. Täällä blogin puolellakin useaan otteeseen mainittu kandityö nimittäin. Seitsemän kuukauden kovan työn, 10609:n sanan ja 100:n lopulliseen työhön päätyneen sivun jälkeen sain vihdoin painaa 'submit'-nappulaa maanantaina. Jotenkin ihan outo fiilis, ettei enää tarvitse uurastaa sen parissa. En ole tainnut itse asiassa koskaan mainita työni aihetta täällä, mutta palautukseen lähti siis tutkimus otsikolla "UK Millennial Women's Perceptions on Fashion Bloggers and Influencers' Personal Brands and Brand Communities". Käytännössä siis tutkin muotibloggaajien ja vaikuttajien henkilöbrändejä ja brändiyhteisöjä. Nyt vaan peukut pystyyn, että kova työ palkitaan ja kandi tulee hyvällä arvosanalla takaisin!
So that was it. The many a time mentioned dissertation I mean. After seven months of hard work, 10,609 words and 100 total pages, I finally clicked the 'submit' button on Monday. To be honest, it feels quite surreal that now I don't have to be working on it ever again. I actually think I haven't even mentioned my subject here on the blog before, but the final piece of work I submitted held the title 'UK Millennial Women's Perceptions on Fashion Bloggers and Influencers' Personal Brands and Brand Communities'. Now just keeping my fingers crossed that the hard work pays off and I will get it back with a good mark!

Uusia tuulia puhaltaa elämän toisellakin osa-alueella, parin viikon päästä muutan nimittäin täältä Espoosta Helsingin puolelle. Olen muutosta tietysti ihan superinnoissani, ja suoraan sanottuna oisin ihan valmis kärräämään itseni ja vähäiset tavarani uuteen asuntoon jo vaikka tältä istumalta heti nyt. Samalla tajusin, että tämä tulee olemaan elämäni ensimmäinen kerta kun asun oikeasti ihan yksin. Olen kuusihenkisen ja yksikoiraisen perheen vanhin lapsi, eli luonnollisesti olen koko lapsuuteni ja nuoruuteni asunut useiden ihmisten ja vilkkaan perhe-elämän ympäröimänä. Ensimmäisen Glasgow-vuoden puolestaan asuin yliopiston asuntolassa, ja vaikka mulla olikin oma huone ja kylppäri niin käytännössä asuin kuitenkin yhdessä seitsemän muun henkilön kanssa. Asuntolasta taas muutin kimppakämppään, jossa asuttiin vaihtelevilla kolmen / neljän hengen kokoonpanoilla ihan siihen asti kun maaliskuun lopussa tulin Suomeen. Mutta kuten sanottua, ootan kyllä innolla tätä uutta elämänvaihetta, ja tarvitsen paljon aikaa myös itselleni, eli eiköhän yksin asuminen sovi mulle oikein hyvin.
New winds are blowing in another area of my life too, as in a couple of weeks I'm moving from Espoo over to the Helsinki side. I'm obviously super excited about the move, and to be fair I'd be ready to cart myself and my few belongings over to the new flat right away this second. What I also realised, is that this will be the first time I'm going to be living completely on my own. I'm the eldest child in a family of six people and one dog, and so I've lived most of my life in a busy family home where people are constantly coming and going and talking and just living the daily life. I lived my first year in Glasgow in our uni's student halls, and although I had my own room and bathroom, I was still technically living with seven other people. And from halls I moved to a shared flat, in which we lived with varying 3 / 4 person compositions up until I came to Finland at the end of March. But like I said, I'm really looking forward to this new era in my life, and I'm also someone who needs quite a bit of time on my own, so I'm sure living alone will suit me just fine.
