Y2K, eli 2000-luku on yksi tän hetken isoimmista trendeistä. Matalavyötäröiset farkut ja jopa Paris Hiltonin tyyliin usein yhdistetyt Juicy Couturen veluuriasut ovat tehneet comebackin, erilaisista 2000-luvun asusteista, hiustyyleistä ja meikkilookeista puhumattakaan. Matalavyötäröiset farkut ja Juicy Couturen veluuriasut voivat kuitenkin olla vähän too much joillekin meistä (itseni mukaanlukien), ja tässä tuleekin kolme helppoa vinkkiä, kuinka tuoda ripaus Y2K-trendiä myös hieman klassisempaan vaatekaappiin ja pukeutumistyyliin. 

Y2K, in other words the 2000s, is one of the biggest trends of the moment. Low rise jeans, and even the Juicy Couture velour tracksuits ala Paris Hilton have made a comeback, not to mention all the different 2000s inspired accessories, hair styles and make up looks. However, low rise jeans and Juicy Couture velour sets can be a bit too much for some of us (myself included), so here comes three easy tips on how to add a touch of Y2K trend into a more classic style and wardrobe.

Pienellä klipsillä hiukset voi laittaa kiinni vain puoliksi, jolloin yksityiskohta todella on pieni ja huomaamaton, ja sen vuoksi hyvä keino lähteä pienesti kokeilemaan tyyliä jos ei ole ihan täysin varma onko trendi mieluinen. Isompi hainhammas puolestaan on jo näyttävämpi, ja sen avulla hiukset voi kiepsauttaa ylös vaikka kokonaankin jos oma tukka vain on sellainen että se pysyy ylhäällä. 

3 ways to mix the Y2K trend with classic style

Hair clips and claws

Different kinds of hair clips and claws are probably the easiest and most subtle way to introduce a touch of 2000s vibes into your looks. If you're using a smaller clip you can even only put just half of your hair up with it. That way the detail really is dainty and so a great way to just give the 2000s style a try if you're not 100% sure how you feel about it. A bigger clip or claw on the other hand is obviously more noticeable, and if you're using a bigger sized version you can wrap your hair up completely if your hair is of the kind that it stays up like that.

Small baguette bags are one step up and forward from hair clips when it comes to mimicking the Y2K style. You can spot baguette bags in many films and tv series that first aired in the 2000s, and as for street style they've been around again for at least a year. And there seems to be no end to this trend anytime soon, as there are still plenty available and you can see fashionistas all over the world sporting baguette bags under their arms. 

Vaalea farkku & leveämmät lahkeet

Vaalea denim henkii sekin 2000-luvun viboja, erityisesti jos farkkujen lahkeet ovat leveät tai edes hieman leveämmät. Ekstrapisteitä tosiaan saa vielä postauksen alussa mainitusta matalasta vyötäröstä. Jos alaspäin levenevä bootcut -lahje on vähän liian kaukainen ajatus, niin suoralahkeiset farkut toimivat myös hyvin kun farkkujen malli on muuten rento ja väri tosiaan vaaleampi denim. Vaaleansininen farkku toimii sitäpaitsi super kivasti nimenomaan nyt kevät- ja kesäaikaan. 

Light denim & wide(r) legs

Light blue denim also gives off those 2000s vibes, especially if the legs of the jeans are wide or at least a little bit wider. And extra points for that low rise waist that I mentioned at the beginning of this blogpost. If bootcut legs are not your thing, then a pair of straight leg denim jeans works really well too when the fit is otherwise relaxed and the colour leans more towards the light end of the spectrum. Besides, light blue denim is super nice especially now that we're entering the spring / summer season.

Vietettiin veljeni kanssa pääsiäinen Tukholmassa, ja muutaman päivän aikana tuli kierrettyä vaatekauppa, liike ja putiikki jos toinenkin. Tällä kertaa kiinnitin myös ihan erityistä huomiota siihen, että Tukholmassa tosiaan osataan myymäläviihtyvyys. Toki ruotsalaiset ovat aina hallinneet muotikaupan hyvin, mutta nyt se jotenkin konkretisoitui ihan erityisesti, nimenomaan myymälöiden kautta. Jos suunnitelmissa on reissu Tukholmaan, niin nämä muotiliikkeet kannattaa siis ehdottomasti laittaa muistiin!

My brother and I spent the Easter weekend in Stockholm, and during those few days we visited many a clothing store, boutique and shop. And this time I really noticed how the Swedes truly know the tricks of making a store environment as enticing as possible. Compared to Finland, Sweden has always been a front runner when it comes to fashion, but now it really actualised to me in a whole different way, exactly through the way the stores in Stockholm look. If you're planning a trip to Stockholm, then definitely put these stores on your list to pay a visit to!

Beyond Retro

Second hand -ketju, jolla on useampia myymälöitä ympäri Tukholmaa. Beyond Retrosta löytyy erityisesti 90-luvun retrohelmiä, ja esimerkiksi Leviksen farkkuja ja farkkushortseja. Ketju löytyy muuten myös Lontoosta useammasta lokaatiosta, ja heillä on myös verkkokauppa.

A second hand chain, which has multiple stores around Stockholm. Beyond Retro is your go-to if you're on the hunt for some 90s retro gems, or good denim such as Levi's jeans and denim shorts. Beyond Retro also has stores in London, and has an online store as well. 

ReRobe

ReRobe on todellinen second hand -helmi Tukholman eteläosassa Södermalmilla. Valikoima keskittyy laadukkaampiin merkkeihin ja täältä kannattaa metsästää kaikkia ihania skandi-merkkejä kuten Ganni, Acne ja Samsoe&Samsoe. Myös ReRobella on oma verkkokauppa. 

ReRobe is a true second hand gem in the southern part of Stockholm in Södermalm. The selection is strongly curated and focused on higher quality brands, and here you can find some of the best Scandi brands out there such as Ganni, Acne and Samsoe&Samsoe. And ReRobe has an online store too. 

Myrorna

Myrorna on samantapainen kuin UFF tai Fida Suomessa, ja myymälöitä on kaupungissa useampi. Yleisfiilikseltään hieman sekavampi eikä yhtä kuratoitu kuin Beyond Retro tai ReRobe, mutta näistäkin myymälöistä voi tehdä tosi hyviä löytöjä. 

Myrorna is a little bit like Salvation Army in the UK, and they also have multiple locations around Stockholm. The general vibe isn't as curated or cool as in Beyond Retro or ReRobe, but you can still make some amazing finds from Myrorna stores.

If the Chanel store is chic, then the Prada store in Stockholm could be described as cool. The colours, mirrors, shelves and interiors in general create a trendy environment. The store's selection of items includes bags, clothing and accessories.

A gorgeous, bright and elegant independent store that stocks clothing, bags, accessories and shoes form high-end brands such as Jacquemus, Aquazurra, Anine Bing and many many others. It's a fairly small space, but very well designed and decorated in order to not look or feel tight. Make sure to check out the Nathalie Schuterman online store too, they even have a pre-loved section!

Sisään astuessa ja erityisesti myymälän takaosassa olevassa sovitustilassa tuntuu ihan kuin olisi reissussa pidemmälläkin kuin Tukholmassa. Liikkeestä tulee nimittäin ihan marokkolaisen kylpylän vibat, ja vain hyvällä tavalla. Sisustuksessa on käyttty paljon neutraaleja lämpimiä sävyjä ja luonnonmateriaaleja. Valikoima puolestaan koostuu By Malene Birgerin vaatteista, koruista ja muista asusteista, sekä tuoksuista. Täällä oli myös maailman mukavin ja suloisin myyjä. Postasin muuten Instagramiin lyhyen reelsin täältä, eli siitä voi käydä fiilistelemässä ja aistimassa vibaa jo etukäteen.

The new Stockholm flagship store of By Malene Birger only opened recently, and it is simply gorgeous. Definitely worth checking out purely for the aesthetics! When you step inside, and especially at the fitting room area at the back of the store, you feel like you've travelled somewhere further than Stockholm. The store has almost like a Moroccan spa vibe to it, and only in a good way. A lot of neutral tones and natural materials in the interiors, which I simply love. When it comes to the selection, they've got By Malene Birger clothing, jewellery and other accessories, and a few perfumes available. I also encountered the friendliest and sweetest sales person ever. I posted a short reel from the store, so go and check it out to get an idea of the vibe.

Totêmen myymälä / showroom sijaitsee melkeinpä ihan By Malene Birgeriä vastapäätä, eli nämä kaksi myymälävieralua kannattaa ehdottomasti yhdistää. Totêmen showroom on kahdessa kerroksessa, joista toinen on huomattavasti suurempi ja myymälän portaiden yläpäästä avautuukin avara ja valoisa, melkeinpä tyylikästä ja minimalistista kotia muistuttava tila. Täältäkin saa siis pukeutumisinspiraation lisäksi myös sisustusinspiraatiota! 

The Totême store / showroom is located almost straight across the street from the By Malene Birger store, so it's worth combining a visit to both while you're in the area. The Totême showroom spreads over two floors, where the one up the stairs is significantly larger. When you walk up the stairs there is a spacious and light room spreading out in front of you, that almost resembles a chic home of someone. Guaranteed home inspiration alongside style inspiration! 

Arket

Koska meillä ei vieläkään ole Arketia täällä Suomessa, niin kannattaa ehdottomasti käydä Arketin Tukholman myymälässä jos siellä reissaa. Kahteen kerrokseen levittyvästä isosta myymälästä löytyy sekä naisten, miesten että kodintuotteiden mallistoa. Myymälässä toimii myös Arket Café, joka nopealla vilkaisulla vaikutti ihan viihtyisältä ja menukin oikein hyvältä, joskin melko lyhyeltä. 

Arket has a big store in the very centre of Stockholm. Covering two floors, the store has women's, men's and home collection available. They've also got an Arket Café inside, which looked quite nice having taken a quick look at it. The menu seemed nice too, just fairly short. 

Acne

Norrmalmstorg 2

Acne kuuluu jälleen siihen brändikategoriaan, jonka myymälässä kannattaa käydä ihan jo myymälän ulkonäön ja sisustuksen vuoksi. Minimalistisesti sisustetussa liikkeessä tuotteet tulevat hyvin esille ja pääsevät oikeuksiinsa, erityisesti kun Acnen tuotteissa usein on jotakin hieman erikoista. Sekä naisten että miesten mallistoa myyvä liike on avara ja valoisa, ja takaosassa on aivan mielettömän upeat vanhat kreikkalaistyyliset pylväät. By Malene Birgerin ja Totêmen liikkeiden tapaan erittäin instagrammable. 

Acne falls also to the category of stores that you want to visit purely for the aesthetics of it. The minimalistic interior lets the items shine to their full potential, especially since many Acne items often have an interesting detail or something else distinguishable about them. The store stocks both women's and men's collections, and the store itself is spacious and bright. And when you're there, go further from the first room to the back of the store to find stunning ancient Greek like pillars going up from floor all the way to the ceiling. Just like the By Malene Birger and Totême stores, the Acne store in Stockholm is very instagrammable.

Twist & Tangon Archive pop up-liikkeeseen törmättiin ihan sattumalta Södermalmilla haahuillessa. Tämä ei ilmeisesti tosiaan ole pysyvä myymälä vaan nimensä mukaisesti pop up, enkä valitettavasti osaa sanoa kuinka pitkään pop up on pystyssä. Mutta kannattaa ehdottomasti käydä tsekkaamassa jos tulee mahdollisuus, täältä voi nimittäin tehdä löytöjä Twist & Tangon vanhoista mallistoista jopa 70% alennuksella.

We randomly stumbled upon Twist & Tango's Archive pop up store when wandering around Södermalm. As the name pop up suggests, this is not likely to be a permanent store, and unfortunately I have no idea of how long the pop up is going to be there. But it's surely worth checking out if you have the chance, as you can score Twist & Tango items from previous collections with up to 70% discounts. 

Acne Archive

Acne Archive -myymälä sijaitsee Vasastanissa, ja Twist & Tangon tapaan Acnen Archive -myymälästä voi ostaa edellisten mallistojen vaatteita, asusteita ja kenkiä todella paljon edullisemmin. Valikoimaa löytyy sekä naisille että miehille, ja bongasin täältä muutamia lastenvaatteitakin. Vanhojen mallistojen lisäksi takaseinältä löytyy myös hyllykaupalla Acnen klassikkofarkkuja. 

Acne Archive store is located in Vasastan a little up from the very centre of Stockholm, and just like in the Twist & Tango Archive, here you also have the chance to shop clothes, accessories and shoes from previous collections with significantly discounted prices. They stock both women's and men's collections, and I did spot a few items of children's clothing too. Alongside pieces from previous collections, they've also got a wall at the back lined up with the classic Acne jeans. 

Rodebjer Revisited

Rodebjer Revisited sijaitsee kaikkein lähimpänä Tukholman ydinkeskustaa, eli tätä ei missään nimessä kannata skipata. Täälläkin menneiden mallistojen tuotteita, ja rekeiltä sekä hyllyiltä löytyi niin neuleita, mekkoja, bleisereitä, housuja, paitoja, farkkuja kuin kenkiäkin. 

Rodebjer Revisited is the closest to the Stockholm city centre, so you definitely should not skip on the opportunity to go and check out the store. Here, again, the selections constitutes of items from past collections, and the rails and shelves are filled with knitwear, dresses, blazers, trousers, blouses, jeans and shoes.

Kuten nimestäkin voi päätellä, Fotografiska on valokuvataiteen museo ja sijaitsee ihan Viking Linen terminaalin vieressä. Tällä hetkellä erityisesti Andy Warholin ja Elizaveta Porodinan näyttelyissä on paljon nimenomaan editorial-tyylisiä muotikuvia, mutta Andy Warholin Photo Factory -näyttelyssä myös esimerkiksi polaroideja muotisuunnittelijoista. Andy Warhol Photo Factory -näyttely on käynnissä vielä 21. elokuuta saakka, ja Elizaveta Porodinan OKHA puolestaan 12. kesäkuuta asti. Forografiska on auki aamukymmenestä yhteentoista illalla, ja yläkerrasta löytyy myös viihtyisä ravintola/baari. 

As you might be able to guess from the name, Fotografiska is a photography museum and is located just next to the Viking Line cruise terminal. From the current exhibitions especially Andy Warhol's and Elizaveta Porodina's work includes editorial style fashion photography. However, Andy Warhol exhibition also has e.g. polaroids of fashion designers on show. The Andy Warhol Photo Factory exhibition runs until the 21st of October, whereas Elizaveta Porodina's OKHA is on until the 12th of June. Fotografiska also has pretty amazing opening times, and you can go and visit from 10am all the way until 11pm. And there's also a cosy restaurant / bar upstairs. 

Nordiska museet

Djurgårdsvägen 6-12

Nordiska Museetissa on 18. syyskuuta asti käynnissä 'Paris of the North' -näyttely, joka museon omien sanojen mukaan "vie sinut haute couturen kultaiselle ajalle ja pariisilaisen muodin pohjoisimpaan paikkaan - NK:n tavaratalon ranskalaisen muodin ateljeehen". NK:lla on tosiaan toiminut ateljee, jossa esimerkiksi kuninkaalliset ja muut korkealle arvostetut asiakkaat pääsivät tutustumaan ja tilaamaan muotia Pariisista. Näyttelyyn oon kerätty asuja, valokuvia ja esineitä ateljeesta, ja tätä suosittelen kyllä erittäin lämpimästi jokaiselle Tukholmaan matkustavalle muotifanille. Näyttely on tällä hetkellä Nordiska Museetin ainoa, johon pitää ostaa liput etukäteen tiettyyn ajankohtaan, eli vierailu kannattaa suunnitella jo etukäteen. Liput voi ostaa kätevästi täältä, mutta ne on mahdollista ostaa myös paikan päältä museon lipunmyynnistä. Silloin tosin saattaa joutua odottamaan jonkin aikaa seuraavaa vapaata ajankohtaa.

Nordiska Museet's 'Paris of the North' exhibition runs until the 18th of September, and according to the museum's own words the "exhibition transports you to the golden age of haute couture and the northernmost outpost of Paris fashion – the French Couture Atelier at the NK department store in Stockholm." NK (Nordiska Kompaniet) is a premium department store similar to Harrods in London, and there has been an atelier where e.g. the royals and other high class customers had the chance to view and order fashion items straight from Paris. The exhibition is a collection of the clothes, photos and items from the atelier, and I warmly recommend visiting if you are interested in fashion at all. The exhibition is the only one in Nordiska Museet where you currently have to buy tickets in advance as you need to book a certain time slot, so you might want to plan your visit beforehand. You can get your tickets easily online here, but they're also available to purchase from the ticket office at the museum. However, if you do not buy tickets beforehand, you might have to wait for a while at the museum depending on when the next available time slot is.

The best trousers for work, home and play

These* grey straight leg trousers from Lindex are without a doubt my favourite pair just now, as just like those knitted dresses these can also be worn in smarter and more relaxed looks and occasions. For work and play, as the title says. Thanks to the elasticated waist and the casual fit in general these trousers are very comfortable to wear, but the straight creased legs and the material add those smarter vibes and make this pair of trousers the perfect option also for the situations where you need to put on something a bit more sharp. Personally I've worn this pair at the office, at home, for a coffee date as well as on a dinner, just switching up what I'm wearing on top.

Kun housut itsessään ovat hyvin neutraalit ja hillityt, niin nimenomaan erilaisilla yläosilla ja asusteilla housuja voi stailata vaikka kuinka monella eri tavalla. Ja nyt kun lämpötilat vihdoin lähtevät nousemaan, niin näiden housujen kanssa tulee vielä aivan varmasti puettua myös erilaisia kevyempiä kesätoppeja, nahkatakkeja ja t-paitoja.

As the trousers themselves are very neutral and muted, it is exactly the different tops and accessories that make the trousers so versatile to style. A knit, silk blouse, t-shirt, blazer or boucle jacket are all tops that add their very distinct spin and vibe when worn together with the trousers. And the same goes for accessories: a smaller bag or a pair of heeled ankle boots are again something that work really well with this pair but truly transform the overall look. And now that the temperatures are finally going up, I'm sure I'll be styling these trousers with many a summery top, leather jacket and t-shirt too.

Tänä keväänä kaksi väriä on ehdottomasti ylitse muiden: kirkkaanvihreä ja sähkönsininen. Kirkasta väriä päästä varpaisiin mun päällä tuskin tullaan näkemään (tosin never say never), mutta pieninä määrinä sininen ja vihreä pääsevät varmasti käyttöön usein tänä sesonkina, erityisesti mitä lähemmäs kesää mennään. 

There are two colours ruling the trend chart this spring: bright green and electric blue. Personally I've fallen in love with both, and both of them can also be easily worn with neutral tones and let the blue or green work as a fun pop of colour in your outfit. I doubt you'll be seeing me dressing into bright tones from head to toe (although, never say never), but in small amounts blue and green will definitely be part of my spring and summer style. Especially the closer to the warm summer months we get.

Parhaat vinkit sähkönsinisen stailaamiseen

Sähkönsininen on tosiaan kirkkaan vihreän ohella toinen tämän kevään hittiväreistä. Kaikkein parhaiten se pääsee oikeuksiinsa, kun värin yhdistää neutraaleihin sävyihin. Neutraaleissakin sävyissä on tosin valinnanvaraa, ja itse suosin sinisen yhdistämistä beigeen ja mustaan. Jos tällaisen kirkkaamman sinisen yhdistää valkoiseen, muistuttaa kokonaisuus helposti vähän liikaa Suomen lippua, mikä ei varsinaisesti ole se haluamani look. Harmaan kanssa kokonaisuus puolestaan on aika kylmä, ja harmaa ja sininen ikään kuin vähän hukkuvat toisiinsa, eikä upea sähkönsininen väri näin ollen pääse kunnolla oikeuksiinsa. 

Neuleiden lisäksi sähkönsininen näyttää super hyvältä myös muissa vaatekappaleissa, ja esimerkiksi ylisuuret kauluspaidat ja liehuvat housut ovat todella trendikkäitä juuri nyt! Kauluspaita ja liehuhousut ovat myös loistavasti lämpöisempään kesäsesonkiin sopivia vaatekappaleita. Liehuhousut näyttäisivät upeilta esimerkiksi silkkisen topin kanssa, ja sähkönsininen kauluspaita puolestaan beigeihin shortseihin yhdistettynä. Mutta nyt kun kesäisempiä lämpötiloja saa vielä odottaa, niin sähkönsinistä neuletta kannattaa ehdottomasti kokeilla myös hartioille takin päälle solmittuna, esimerkiksi juurikin klassisen trenssin kanssa. 

Best Tips on Styling Electric Blue 

As mentioned, alongside bright green electric blue is definitely an it colour this spring. And it's best styled with an otherwise neutral colour palette, as that's when the bright blue really gets to shine. However, there are differences in neutral colours too, and personally I prefer wearing electric blue with beige and black. If you combine this kind of a brighter blue with white, the end result reminds me too much of the Finnish flag, which isn't exactly the look I'm going for. And with grey on the other hand, the overall look is quite cold, and grey and blue easily kind of blend into each other, and so the electric blue doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Alongside knitwear, electric blue looks amazing in other pieces of clothing too. For example oversized shirts and wide flowy trousers are super trendy just now! An oversized shirt and flowy trousers are also pieces that work amazingly in your summer wardrobe. Electric blue trousers would look absolutely gorgeous with a silky camisole, and a blue shirt with a pair of beige shorts. But now that we still have to wait for those warmer temperatures, then definitely try an electric blue knit on your shoulders worn on top of your outerwear, for example with a classic trench coat.

Hybrid Dressing for Hybrid Work

Monet ovat nyt kevään mittaan palailleet takaisin toimistolle, tai ainakin siihen paljon puhuttuun hybridimalliin jossa osa päivistä tehdään töitä kotoa käsin ja osa työpäivistä puolestaan vietetään kollegoiden kanssa toimistolla. Kotitoimistolta perinteisempään työympäristöön palaaminen saattaa kuitenkin aiheuttaa hieman harmaita hiuksia, kun ne mukavat 10 vuotta vanhat verkkarit pitäisikin vaihtaa johonkin hieman edustavampaan. Itse tosin pukeudun oikeastaan ihan samalla tavalla niin kotitoimistolla kuin sillä ihan oikeallakin toimistolla, koska omalla asukokonaisuudella on ihan mieletön vaikutus myös omaan fiilikseen ja työmoodiin, olipa työskentelypaikka mikä tahansa. Kuulun niihin, jotka saa ehdottomasti enemmän aikaan ja paremman flow'n päälle bleiserissä kuin kollarihousuissa. 

Many have now gone back to offices for work, or at least transferred into that hybrid work model where you work remotely some days of the week and at the office with your colleagues on others. However, going from the home office to the actual office might cause some dilemmas when it comes to dressing the part so to speak, as those super comfy 10-year-old joggers are a no-go and you need something a bit more presentable to dress yourself into. Personally I'm one of those people who dress pretty much the same at the home office as well as at the actual one, because the outfit I'm wearing has a huge impact on how I feel and the work mode I have, no matter where I'm located. I'm definitely more productive and get into a better work flow when I'm wearing a blazer as opposed to wearing a pair of old joggers.

Neulemekko kotiin ja toimistolle

Hybridimalliseen toimistotyöskentelyyn sopii kuitenkin hyvin myös hybridimallinen pukeutuminen, eli jotakin mukavaa mutta kuitenkin siistiä, mikä kelpaa niin kotitoimistolle kuin perinteisempäänkin toimistoympäristöön. Olen varmasti todennut tämän ennenkin, mutta juuri tällaiseen tarkoitukseen neulemekot ovat aivan loistavia! Ne ovat mukavia päällä mutta näyttävät tyylikkäiltä, ja toimivat hyvänä pohjana jonka päälle voi lähteä lisäämään kerroksia ja muita asusteita aina fiiliksen mukaan. Neulemekon kanssa sopii hyvin niin bleiseri ja korolliset nilkkurit, kuin sporttinen lippis ja lenkkarit tai maiharitkin. 

Knitted dress for working from home and at the office

Something that's suitable for hybrid work is also hybrid dressing, i.e. something that feels comfortable but is still fairly smart and can be worn both at the home office as well as when surrounded by colleagues. I'm sure I've said this before, but I'm definitely an advocate for the good old knitted dress for these purposes! Knitted dresses are comfortable to wear but look chic, and serve as an excellent base for layering on other items and accessories depending on the mood you're in on that particular day. With a knitted dress you can wear a blazer and a pair of heeled ankle boots just as well as you can wear a sporty cap and trainers, or even a pair of combat boots. 

Gaul the Label Madhu: täydellinen arkilaukku

Sain hiljattain suomalaiselta Gaul the Label -laukkubrändiltä tämän aivan upean Madhu-mallisen laukun, joka tuo ripauksen Balia ja lomafiilistä tänne huhtikuiseen Helsinkiin. Tämä on ihan täydellinen arki-/työlaukku, sillä vaikka laukku on melko kompakti ja kapea niin sinne mahtuu silti läppäri latureineen, järjestelmäkamera, meikkipussi, vesipullo, eväät ja vielä kaikki perinteiset mukana kulkevat pikkutavarat kuten avaimet ja korttikotelo. Ja vaikka laukku olisi täynnäkin, niin leveämpien kahvojen ansiosta sitä on silti helppo ja mukava kantaa olalla. Monissa isommissa laukuissa on nimittäin sen verran ohuet kahvat, että jos laukku on oikeasti täynnä tavaraa niin sen kantaminen tuntuu todella epämukavalta kun kahvat painaa olkapäätä. Mutta Gaul the Labelin Madhussa tätä ongelmaa ei tosiaan ole, tämä tuli todettua nimenomaan aiemmin mainitulla läppäri + kamera + vesipullo + eväät + kaikki muut kantamukset sisällöllä.

I was recently very kindly gifted this gorgeous Madhu bag by the Finnish bag brand Gaul the Label, and the bag certainly adds a breathe of Bali holiday vibes to this grey April weather in Helsinki. This is just the perfect everyday / work bag, as even though it is fairly compact you can still fit in your laptop with charger, a DSLR, a makeup bag, a water bottle, packed lunch, and even all your tiny everyday items such as keys and card holder on top of that. And even if the bag was full, thanks to the wider straps it is still easy and comfortable to carry on the shoulder. Many bigger bags tend to have such narrow straps that if the bag is really full and heavy then carrying it just feels uncomfortable as the straps dig into the shoulder. But that problem doesn't exist with this Gaul the Label Madhu bag. Speaking from experience here and tested with exactly that previously mentioned laptop + camera + water bottle + packed lunch + all the everyday items contents.

Spring Fashion Wishlist 2022

Parin viikon takaiset upeat säät antoivat jo toivoa ja uskoa kevään tulosta, ja vaikka nyt näyttääkin siltä että se kunnon kevät antaa vielä odottaa itseään niin itse ainakin olen jo ihan täysin kevät- ja kesämoodissa pukeutumisen suhteen. Lyhyemmät lahkeet, kirkkaammat ja vaaleammat värit sekä kevyemmät kengät kiinnostaa ihan erityisen paljon, ja niitä onkin mun kevään toivelistalla. 

The gorgeous weather a couple of weeks ago already gave me hope about spring finally arriving. However, currently is seems that the proper spring season is still making its way to us, but when it comes to fashion I'm getting into full on spring and summer mood. Shorter leg lengths, brighter colours and lighter shoes are on my radar and also on my spring fashion wishlist.

Kevät- ja kesämuodin ostoslista

Tällä hetkellä olen jopa hieman yllättävästi aivan totaalisen ihastunut kaikkeen kirkkaaseen tai smaragdiin taittavaan vihreään. Tätä Zaran upeaa buklee-bleiseriä sovitin viime viikonloppuna, ja storyyn postamaani kuvan saamien Instagram-viestien perusteella en todellakaan ollut ainoa joka siihen ihastui. H&M:n bleiserivalikoimassa on myös ihania vihreitä yksilöitä, ja jokin tällainen rennompi oversized-mallinen vihreä bleiseri kiinnostaa. Myös Zaran super kauniit vihreät silkkishortsit houkuttelee, nämä näyttäisivät aivan upeilta kesällä ihan vain valkoisen topin tai paidan ja kultaisten korujen kanssa. 

Shortsiosastolla ostoslistalla on myös uudet nahkashortsit, sillä super pitkään palvelleet vanhat Pieces-merkin nahkashortsit ovat oikeasti kuluneet puhki. Pidempien housujen osalta puolestaan vaatekaapissa olisi tilaa valkoisille suorille puvunhousuille. Ne menisivät muuten täydellisesti yhteen vihreän bleiserin kanssa! 

Loaferit ovat ehdottomasti tämän kevään kenkävalinta numero yksi, ja omalla ostoslistallani on ihan perinteinen musta pari loafereita. Niissä saisi kuitenkin mieluusti olla vähän paksumpi pohja, joka tuo super klassiseen kenkämalliin vähän asennetta. &Other Storiesilla näyttäisi olevan hyvä valikoima erilaisia loafereita, mutta myös suomalaisen VAMSKO:n loaferi-kategoria on mieletön! 

Asusteiden osalta olen viime aikoina fiilistellyt erilaisia ysärityylisiä hiusklipsejä ja hainhampaita. Mulla onkin usein hiukset pienellä klipsillä puoliksi kiinni, mutta olen alkanut kaipaamaan myös tällaista vähän suurempaa hainhammasta. Tällainen olisi super kätevä myös kesähelteillä kun hiukset voisi kiepsauttaa klipsillä ylös eikä hiukset hiostaisi niskaa. 

Spring and summer fashion shopping list

Right now I'm absolutely in love with bright and emerald green tones. I tried on this gorgeous bouclé blazer from Zara last weekend, and I definitely wasn't the only one who fell in love with it as I got such a wave of messages after posting it on my Instagram story. H&M also has some really nice green blazers available, and some kind of a more relaxed oversized green blazer would be cute too. And continuing on the green theme, I'm also really drawn to these green silky shorts from Zara. They would look absolutely amazing in summer with just a plain white top and some golden jewellery. 

And when it comes to shorts, I've also got a new pair of leather shorts on my list as I've actually worn out my old pair from Pieces. As for longer legged trouser, I've got a place in my wardrobe for a pair of white straight leg suit trousers. And these would be gorgeous with that green blazer by the way!

Loafers are hands down the number one shoe choice this spring, and I've got a classic black pair of loafers on my shopping list. However, I'd prefer them to have a bit sturdier sole that makes the super classic shoe look more edgy. &Other Stories has a good selection of different loafers, but the Finnish shoe brand VAMSKO also has really drool-worthy loafers in their spring collection. 

As for accessories, recently I've been really into different 90s inspired hair clips. I often wear my hair half up with a small clip, but lately I've been longing for a bit bigger hair clip too. Also thinking ahead towards summer with this already, as bigger hair clip could also be used to lift all of my hair up from my neck on those hot and sweaty summer days.
