Although a knitted dress is from the more casual end of the spectrum when it comes to the variety of dresses available, with correct styling and good accessories a knitted dress can be transformed into a good option also for situations where you need to look a bit more put together and presentable. No, nothing will turn a knitted dress into a ballgown, but put on a pair of heels, add a clutch bag and beautiful jewellery and you could easily wear a knitted dress to dinner, or e.g. to the theatre or some other kind of cultural activity.

Harmaa ruutubleiseri on omassa vaatekaapissani se bleiseri, johon tartun aina nimenomaan syksyisin. Muina vuodenaikoina ruutubleiseri ei puhuttele läheskään yhtä paljon ja roikkuu suurimman osan ajasta henkarissa, mutta syksyn tullen käsi nappaa nimenomaan tämän bleiserin henkarista paljon useammin. Klassikkoruudut, jotka tunnetaan myös nimellä Prince of Wales check, ovat ajaton printti jotka näyttävät tyylikkäiltä vuodesta toiseen. Esimerkiksi juuri tämä ruutubleiseri on ollut vaatekaapissani pian jo viisi vuotta, ja se näyttää edelleen hyvältä ja tyylikkäältä. Loistava esimerkki vaatteesta, joka yksinkertaisesti toimii aina.
Grey checked blazer
In my wardrobe, a grey checked blazer is the blazer I tend to opt for the most in autumn. During the other seasons the checked blazer doesn't speak to me nearly as much and tends to just hang on my clothing rail. However, every autumn I find myself pulling the checked blazer out more often. The check pattern, also known as Prince of Wales check, is a timeless classic that looks chic every year. For instance this exact grey checkered blazer has been in my wardrobe for almost five years now, and it still looks good and stylish. A very good example of an item that simply just always works.
Trenssitakki
Toinen loistava esimerkki ajattomasta ja aina tyylikkäästä vaatteesta on tietysti aina yhtä ihana trenssi. Olen käyttänyt jonkinlaista trenssiä jokaikinen syksy aina vähintään lukioajoista lähtien, ehkä jo yläasteelta. Trenssien tyyleissä, istuvuuksissa ja leikkauksissa trendit tietysti hieman elävät ja vaihtelevat vuodesta ja sesongista toiseen, mutta se on varmaa että trenssi on ja tulee aina olemaan todella tyylikäs takkivalinta. Eli vaikka oma trenssi ei olisikaan ihan juuri sen ajankohtaisimman trenssimuodin mukainen, niin trenssin kanssa ei silti voi koskaan mennä pieleen. Esimerkiksi parin viime vuoden aikana liehuvat ja hieman ylisuuret trenssit ovat olleet se kaikkein trendikkäin takki, mutta klassisempi militaristinen ja ryhdikkäämmin istuva trenssi näyttää myös todella hyvältä.

Another prime example of a fashion item that's always stylish and chic is obviously the ever so amazing trench coat. Some kind of a trench coat has been part of my autumn outfits ever since high school at least, maybe even longer. When it comes to the styles, fits, cuts and details of trench coats there are trends that come and go, but what's certain is that a trench coat will always be a chic and stylish choice for outerwear. So even if the trench coat in your wardrobe isn't exactly topping the trend charts of the season, you definitely still can't go wrong with it. For example these past few years the oversized trench coat has been the trendiest one, however a more classic and military styled trench coat looks great too.
