Vuosi 2022 alkaa olemaan takanapäin, ja ihan kohta on aika kääntää katseet ja ajatukset vuoteen 2023 - niin muodin, suunnitelmien, tavoitteiden kuin toiveidenkin suhteen. Pipo on aina varma hattuvalinta talveen, sillä faktahan on se että pipo pitää korvat ja pään lämpimänä kylmässä ja tuulisessa talvisäässä. Perinteinen talvipipo ei kuitenkaan ole se ainoa keino pitää korvat suojassa talven kylmyydeltä, vaan pipon voi helposti korvata muillakin päätä lämmittävillä talviasusteilla. Erilaiset talveen sopivat päähineet ovat sitä paitsi todella tyylikkäitä, ja tällä hetkellä trendikäs valinta onkin jokin ihan muu kuin pipo. 

There's no denying that a good old beanie is always a foolproof option for keeping your ears and head warm in the cold and windy winter weather. However, the traditional beanie is not the only option when it comes to protecting your ears from the cold, rather there are multiple other pieces of winter headwear that you can opt for instead. Other types of winter headwear pieces look super stylish, and right now the trendiest choice is something totally different than a beanie.

Kalastajanhattuja ollaan nähty parina viime keväänä ja kesänä kevyemmissä materiaaleissa kuten puuvillassa, mutta tänä vuonna kalastajanhatut ovat tulleet myös talvimuotiin. Kaikkein trendikkäin talvihattu onkin pörröinen ja pehmeä teddy-kankainen kalastajanhattu. Paksu materiaali sekä kunnolla pään ja korvat peittävä hattu takaavat sen, että hattu myös todella lämmittää. Kalastajanhattujen pieni lieri myös varjostaa kasvoja sen verran että se tarjoaa kasvoille suojaa lumi-/räntäsadetta vastaan. We've seen bucket hats these couple of past spring/summer seasons in lighter materials such as cotton, but this year the style has made its way to winter fashion too. This season the trendiest winter hat is definitely a fluffy and cosy teddy bucket hat. The thicker material and style that properly covers your head and ears ensure that the hat is actually warm too. The little brim that bucket hats have also shield your face well enough to provide a little bit of protection against snowfall or rain too. I've used this affordable teddy bucket hat* from H&M a lot already - it is most definitely my favourite hat this winter!

Korvaläpät

Toinen tämän talven suurimmista talviasustetrendeistä on ihan ehdottomasti korvaläpät. Ja mitä korvaläppiin tulee, niin niihinkin pätee sääntö "mitä pörröisempi, sitä parempi". Pörröiset korvaläpät näyttävät todella söpöiltä, mutta ovat myös käytännölliset. Ne nimittäin suojaavat korvia kylmältä, mutta toisin kuin pipo, hattu tai muu koko pään peittävä päähine, niin korvaläpät ovat hieman armollisemmat hiuksille. Korvaläppien kanssa ei nimittäin tarvitse murehtia päätä myöten liimaantuvista hiuksista, kun läpät asettuvat pannan avulla nätisti paikalleen. 

Balaclava

Balaclavat eli neulehuput tai kypärämyssyt pomppasivat päiväkotien pihoilta aikuistenkin talvipukeutumiseen viime talvena. Tänä vuonna balaclavat ovat edelleen yhtä tyylikkäitä, ja niitä on jälleen saatavilla monen eri brändin talviasustevalikoimassa. Kaikkein näppärin ja käsityötaitoisin voi tietysti neuloa balaclavan myös itse, mutta meille muille on paljon valikoimaa mistä valita. Balaclavassa kaikkein parasta on sen käytännöllisyys, sen kanssa ei nimittäin tarvitse erikseen huivia kun siinä yhdistyy kätevästi sekä korvia suojaava päähine että kaulaa lämmittävä kauluri. 

Ear muffs

Another huge winter accessory trend this season is without a doubt earmuffs. And when it comes to earmuffs, the fluffier the better. Fluffy earmuffs look adorable but they're also very functional. Earmuffs keep your ears nicely covered and warm, but they're also a bit more gracious for your hair when compared to hats or beanies. As earmuffs are secured on their spot with basically a headband, you don't necessarily have to worry about your choice of headwear ruining your hair of the day. 

Balaclava

We saw balaclavas make their way from the kindergarten yards over to adults' winter fashion last year. And this year balaclavas are just as trendy again, and they are well and readily available in different brands' winter accessory selections. And if you're very crafty, then you can go on and knit one yourself. But for the rest of us, there truly are many different balaclavas to choose from. The best thing about balaclavas? Their functionality for sure. As balaclava is basically a hybrid between a beanie and a neckwarmer, you don't need a separate scarf to protect your neck from the cold winter wind.

Satiini on myös esimerkiksi paljetteja tai glitteriä elegantimpi ja klassisempi valinta, jota voi hyödyntää loistavasti pukeutumisessa myös joulunajan juhlakauden jälkeen. Tästä trendistä vinkkasinkin jo aiemmin mainitsemassani postauksessa kimalteen lisäämisestä juhlapukeutumiseen ilman paljetteja, ja tämä vinkki onkin tällä hetkellä ehkäpä oma henkilökohtainen suosikkini. Asukokonaisuus voi olla muuten hyvinkin simppeli ja yksinkertainen, mutta kun jalkaan laittaa säihkyvät korkokengät niin trendikäs juhla-look on valmis! 

5 festive fashion trends for winter 2022/2023

Satin

Shiny satin is a festive material and looks especially good this winter. Satin is also a more elegant and timeless material compared to sequins or glitter, and you can very well use it outside of the Christmas / New Year's festive period too. A satin little black dress for example is a great piece that you can wear throughout the year. Psst! Wear a short satin dress as a top together with trousers, so you get even more wear time for it. 

Sparkly shoes

Glitter, rhinestones, diamonds... All kinds of sparkle and shine is definitely one of the biggest footwear trends when it comes to party wear this winter. This is also a trend I wrote about in that before mentioned blog post about adding shine to party looks without wearing sequins, and to be honest this might just be my personal favourite tip. No matter how casual your look is otherwise, by putting on a pair of sparkly high heels you've got yourself a super trendy party look!

Läpikuultavat kimaltavat kerrokset 

Kimaltavilla strasseilla koristellut verkkokankaiset kerrokset ovat tällä hetkellä todella in. Esimerkiksi strassisomisteiset verkkosukkahousut ovat super helppo tapa lähteä kokeilemaan tätä trendiä, ja sellaiset ovatkin vielä omalla ostoslistallani tähän juhlakauteen. Sukkahousuja kenties rohkeampi valinta on kimaltava verkkomekko, -paita tai -housut, jotka kaikki näyttävät todella upeilta säihkyessään kantajansa päällä.

See-through sparkly layers

Fishnet layers with rhinestone details are so in right now. For instance a pair of fishnet tights with sparkly rhinestones on them are a super easy way to play with this trend, and I've actually got just those still on my festive fashion shopping list for this season. A bit more bold option would be a sparkly fishnet dress, top or trousers, which all look amazing shining on whoever is wearing them. 

Höyhenet 

Erilaiset hennot ja sirot, liehuvat höyhenyksityiskohdat niin hihoissa, lahkeissa, helmassa kuin esimerkiksi kenkien remmeissäkin ovat yksi trenditietoisen juhlapukeutujan valinnoista tänä talvena. Erilaisia höynenyksityiskohtia näkyy nyt paljon, ja ne tuovat asukokonaisuuteen heti juhlavuutta ja sitä ekstra spesiaalia jotakin. Ei kenties se käytännöllisin valinta, mutta sitäkin upeamman näköinen. Ja välillä täytyy yksinkertaisesti vain olla miettimättä käytännöllisyyttä, ja mennä täysin tyyli ja fiilis edellä.

You can find different feather details a lot right now, and they instantly add a bit more festive vibes and that little extra special something to your outfit. Probably not the most functional option, but absolutely stunning when it comes to looks. And sometimes you really just need to ditch the thought about being functional, and only think about the way something looks and makes you feel.

Jep, pinkki ei ole edelleenkään menossa minnekään. Koko vuosi on ollut yhtä barbie pinkin voittokulkua, ja se jatkuu vielä nyt loppuvuoden juhlapukeutumisessakin. Can you refer to Moon Boots as classics? Well, there are many opinions on that but these 80s vibes winter shoes are very much on trend again, and would surely delight many a fashion and trend following person should they find a pair of Moon Boots* under the Christmas tree. Alongside the long version there's also a cute short boot available that's also a great option! However, the shoe per se is not exactly everyone's cup of tea so I'd play it safe and only wrapped these inside a present if the receiver had specifically wished for Moon Boots or I had heard them talk about them in a different setting earlier.
